Agroenergia 14 - 15 february

Agroenergia Convention and showPOLIBRExpo: the exhibition area
This year, Agroenergia will take place once again within Parco Scientifico eTecnologico (PST) in Tortona. The agenda will include a wide choice of conference sessions, presenting solutions and new insights into some of the more vexing challenges, especially with regard to improving the economics at times of limited resources.

At the throbbing heart of one of Europe’s most advanced regions for agroenergies.
In agroenergies, industry and agriculture come together, along with academic research and services. The event in Tortona is a think tank, the occasion, where, in closed spaces, in a convivial atmosphere, the whole profession convenes, opening to a wealth of contacts with all the players in this innovative industry. And these contacts are maintained throughout the year with a consistent seminars programme across a number of Italian provinces and regions. The steady cooperation with the farmers associations imparts strategic significance to the conference work for the whole agricultural scene.

An experience, more than a show.
Today, more than ever, in a fast developing industry, where technologies evolve rapidly, yet, sometimes, at the cost of not living up their promises, professional contacts and real-life experiences are vital.Agroenergia creates within the PST a dynamic business, networking, knwoledge environment. With the addition of new important players in agro-energies, PST, headquartersof POLIBRE-Piedmont’s Innovation Pole for Renewable Ener
gies and Photovoltaic, becomes the gravity point for the entire industry. Agroenergia is the scientific and research showcase for fermentation, biomass treatments and conditioning, as well as agronomic experimenting for energy crops.

The significance of agroenergies, not only from the environmental and energetic viewpoint, but also from that of its economic and social impact; the effects of this new industry on the overall economic development were the key topics of the “Agroenergy Report“,presented during last year’s edition. This year, Agroenergy Report will focus on agro-industrial by-products, as well as on the scenarios that will affect this sector, following a growing trend towards reducing the use of dedicated biomasses, through a heavier use of by-products and farmwaste.
